Baltimore Museum of Industry

Ceremony at 5:30PM, Reception to follow

Our Story

Leah and Danny met through Walsh Trivia at Wicked Sisters in Hampden, where their team played every Tuesday. After a year of friendship and several get-togethers at breweries, cocktail bars, and coffee shops (now affectionately referred to as “don’t-call-it-a-dates”), Leah and Danny became more than friends. They negotiated together what form their relationship would take over a bottle of wine. This tradition continues to this day: with wine in hand, they spend their May anniversary reflecting and setting intentions for the year ahead.

Leah and Danny enjoy cooking and eating delicious vegan meals together, biking around the lakes in Madison or kayaking on the lakes when it is warm enough, walks with their dog Qalbi, hosting friends for takeout, cocktails, and games, and attending live shows. And they still attend bar trivia every Tuesday, now with a new crowd of faces.

Other Event Details

If you received an invitation, you should be able to RSVP online by searching your name on this page.

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Baltimore Museum of Industry, at 1415 Key Highway, which is in the Federal Hill Neighborhood of Baltimore City. We do not have any shuttles or other group transportation option planned.

If you are staying at the Lord Baltimore or Renaissance Hotel (or otherwise arriving from north of the harbor), you can head south on Charles Street (or St. Paul St. north of Pratt St), which will become Key Highway after the harbor. The venue will be on the left.

If you are staying at the Courtyard Marriott (or otherwise in Federal Hill), the venue is a 1/2-mile, 10-minute walk. The most pedestrian-friendly route is along Fort Avenue, then down Lawrence St. The venue is across Key Highway from where Lawrence Street ends.

If you are arriving by car from south of the city, take exit 55 from I-95 onto McComas St, then turn left on Key Highway. The venue will be on the right.

If you are arriving by car from north of the city, take exit 55 off of I-95 and turn right on Key Highway. The venue will be on the right.

If you are arriving by train from outside of the city, you will want to arrive at Penn Station. There are no direct bus routes that go all the way to the venue, but a cab would be cheap, and the Charm City Circulator (a free bus) could take you south to the Ostend Street stop, which is a .7-mile, 14-minute walk from the venue.

We encourage guests to carpool/take a taxi or use public transportation. However, there will be free parking at the venue with plenty of space. It is event parking only, so prepare to move your car at the end of the night.
Wear what makes you feel comfortable! As a broad guideline, if you would work from home in your outfit, it’s probably too casual. If you would fit in at the Oscars, it’s probably too formal. If you would like more specific guidance, you may consider wearing something between semi-formal and cocktail attire.
We require that all guests attending out wedding be vaccinated. This will be on an honor system; please contact us if you have any questions or concerns about that. We request that all guests take a rapid test before attending any wedding events and after the wedding weekend. We plan to provide a limited number of rapid tests at the venue on the day of the wedding.Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors. Though the large reception space is indoors, the venue has taken steps to update their ventilation in the past couple of years, and we will keep doors open. You are welcome to wear a mask according to your comfort level.

The BMI is wheelchair accessible. There are handicap parking spaces next to the main entrance along with a ramp from the parking lot to the door. Spaces inside are on ground level or accessible by ramp.

We have done our best to consider a wide variety of access needs for all of our guests. If you have access need that we have not addressed on our website, please contact us directly.

Alternatively, you can get an AirBnB. We recommend the following neighborhoods, which are all reasonably close to the venue by walking, transit, or a short cab ride. They also all have good restaurants and other attractions. The neighborhoods are listed in order of proximity to the venue. Click the name of the neighborhood to view it on Google Maps.

Flying In

If you're flying in for the wedding, three airports are within one hour of Baltimore City by transit or car. Fares and the availability of direct flights will vary by origin, but BWI is the most convenient. Details about getting into the city from each airport (other than by cab or rental car) are below.

There are two cheap, convenient rail connections between BWI and downtown Baltimore. The light rail is the cheapest and most convenient option, but details a out each are below.
You can catch the light rail directly from the airport terminal, and a ticket costs around $2. If you’re staying at the Renaissance, get off at the Pratt Street stop. The hotel is a 10-minute walk east (toward the harbor) along Pratt Street. If you’re staying at the Lord Baltimore, get off at the Baltimore Street Stop. The hotel is a short, 4-minute walk east along Baltimore Street. The hotel will be on the left, at the corner of Hanover St. If you’re staying at the Courtyard Marriott, you can get off at either the Stadium/Federal Hill stop or the Camden Yards stop. There is unfortunately no convenient transit option to the hotel from there and it is too far to walk, but a cab would be cheap.
To take the MARC into the city, catch a shuttle outside of the terminal to the BWI MARC station and purchase a ticket to Baltimore Penn Station. If you are staying at the Courtyard Marriott, there is no direct route from Penn Station, but a cab would be cheap. If you want to take transit, you can take either the Charm City Circulator (free) to the Light Street & Lee St stop and catch the Banner Route bus line to Fort Ave & Woodall St. If you are staying at the Lord Baltimore, you can either walk ~30 minutes down Charles Street (the hotel is a few blocks to the right, down Baltimore Street) through the lovely Mount Vernon neighborhood, which has many great restaurants, or you can take the Charm City Circulator (a free bus) southbound on St. Paul Street and exit at the Fayetteville Street stop. Turn right on Baltimore Street, and the hotel will be two blocks down on the right, just before Hanover Street. If you are staying at the Renaissance Hotel, you can take the Charm City Circulator (a free bus) southbound on St. Paul Street and exit at Pratt Street. The hotel is two blocks down Pratt Street (the harbor should be on your right as you walk down the street). Turn left on South Street, and the entrance will be on your left.
Both the yellow and blue lines connect DCA to the city. If you take the blue line, head toward Largo Town Center and get off at metro center. If you take the yellow line, head toward Greenbelt and get off at Gallery Place/Chinatown. Next, head to Union Station. Take the red line toward Glenmont or Silver Spring and get off at Union Station.Once at Union Station, purchase a MARC ticket (~$9) to Baltimore Penn Station. This will take you to the Mount Vernon neighborhood, which is a short cab ride, medium-length walk, or short transit ride to both the Lord Baltimore Hotel and Renaissance hotel. If you’re staying at the Courtyard Marriott, you should take a cab.
Unfortunately, there are no direct public transit connections between Dulles and Baltimore City, and it is at least an hour drive though D.C.-area traffic to Baltimore. If you choose to fly into Dulles, prepare to rent a car, plan a pickup, or pay for an expensive cab.

  • Cylburn Park and Arboretum: This is Leah and Danny's favorite park, where Leah spent many days as a child. We will hike here the morning/afternoon after the wedding for all who would like to join.
  • Federal Hill: This small park is near the venue and is great for a stroll, especially if you enjoy view of downtown and the harbor
  • Druid Hill: This is a very large park which has a bit of everything: skyline views, recreation, running trails, hiking trails, and even the Maryland Zoo
  • Lake Roland: This large park at the city/county border has a dog park and a lot of wooded trails. Leah and Danny spent many early pandemic days here before moving to Wisconsin

Click the name to be directed to the brewery's Google Maps page. The neighborhood where each brewery is listed in parentheses.

  • Little Havana (Federal Hill): This cuban bar and restaurant is directly next to the venue and has excellent brunch. The patio has a harbor and skylne view
  • Land of Kush (Midtown): An iconic Baltimore restaurant that serves vegan soul food
  • Golden West (Hampden): Delicious food with a lot of vegan options. Excellent for brunch
  • Paulie Gee's (Hampden): The best pizza in Baltimore, including many vegan options
  • Clavel (Old Goucher): Excellent Mexican food and cocktails with a hip vibe. Pop next door to its sister speakeasy, W.C. Harlan, for a cocktail afterward!
  • Dooby's (Mount Vernon): A vegan-friendly fast-casual cafe with a light selection of baked goods and cocktails
  • Wicked Sisters (Hampden): The food is fine but the vibe is nice, and this is where Leah and Danny met!

  • R House (Remington): A buzzing, open market with multiple excellent food stands as well as a bar serving cocktails and local brews
  • Topside (Mount Vernon): Restaurant and bar on the top floor of Hotel Revival with stunning views of the city

There are so many and they are all wonderful; these are our favorites. Click the name to be directed to the brewery's Google Maps page. The neighborhood where each brewery is listed in parentheses.

  • Mount Vernon: This is Baltimore's original gayborhood and the neighborhood where Danny lived when he first moved to Baltimore. There are a few breweries, the Baltimore Washington Monument, the Peabody Library, several historic churches, and plenty of retaurants and coffee shops.
  • Inner Harbor: This is the heart of downtown, and quite close to the venue. There are paddleboat rentals and souvenier shops along the harbor, as well as shops and restaurants across the street.
  • Fells Point: This brick- and cobblestone-heavy neighborhood is a go-to for visitors to the city and is known for its nightlife and restaurant scene. There are also multiple terminals for the free water taxi, which take you across the harbor.
  • Hampden/The Avenue: This was Leah and Danny's favorite neighborhood when they lived in Baltimore. There are many nice shops and restaurants along 36th street ("The Ave")
  • Federal Hill: This is the neighborhood where our wedding is taking place! Fed Hill is known for its night life, particularly for young professionals. Accordingly, there are many bars and restaurants, especially along Charles and Light Streets.
